Click on image to zoom inProbably, you have either seen or heard of the new 'Luther' BBC One drama. Seen, because someone might have recommended you it, or 'heard' because of all the complaints it has been receiving at the BBC for its violence.
I have watched and loved it. As far as the complaints go, I hope they will only have increased the PR and viewing figures!
The main female character Ruth Wilson, is my cousin. After already this year coming number 8 in Broadcast Magazines top 100 TV talent to watch, and following that up with her first Olivier award for stage performances, her career is going from strength to strength. Even if it is a little strange to see her play a coldblooded murdered as her role in this.
If you haven't caught any of it, it's still on BBC iplayer, and it's a good one ;)

Click on image to zoom inHad a brilliant time at the Taste festival last weekend. The weather turned out in the end, and managed to get a good amount of food (and drinks) sampling done. Thanks to the gang at Stripe for having us along and more importantly huge well done for organising it all.
I was a tiny bit starstruck when we bumped into Jean-Christophe Novelli at Missoni on the Friday night, but not a bit to hear how much of a show diva he was being!

Click on image to zoom inThanks to our lovely Clients at National Museums of Scotland for invitation to the launch of the Lewis chessmen exhibition last night. Having grown up being shipped up to Lewis every available school holiday of my childhood and at the one Lewis museum there being one or two chesspieces at any given time, it was a real treat to see the whole gang of them brought together for the launch of an exhibition which will be touring.
Thoroughly recommend it as it may be one of the only times you can go see the wee fellas ;)

Click on image to zoom inManaged to catch this exhibition in the MOMA in NY last month.
We were all quite taken with Marina Abramovich and her approach to 'her art'. Alongside the main exhibit was a retrospective of her work. Seems for anyone unaware of who she is that all of the work she has done features her, either photographically or filmically, and tends to have her pushing boundaries - big time.
Whether it is pain threshold, nudity or sanity boudaries as a spectator these exhibits are weirdly compelling.
Not exactly what you expect to see on an afternoon at the art gallery though ;)
Definitely recommend it if it comes to a gallery near you.
