I've always loved collecting things. Commemorative mugs, art deco medals, dinky toy sports cars from the 30's. William Nicholson's alphabet prints from the turn of the 20th century. (My wife Fran and daughter Katie found the last 2 letters, "L is for Lady" and "G is for Gentleman" and gave them to me for Christmas last year). That collection finally complete after a 15 year search. And now it's badges (or buttons or pins, if you're from the USA). It's not the biggest collection in the world (two actually). But I only started it on Sunday after a flying visit to an antiques fair.
But it's not a bad start. A Silver Jubilee pin for King George V and Queen Mary dating from 6th May 1935. And a JFK presidential election campaign pin from 1960. They cost 50p each.
